LA

I had a very enjoyable day in Los Angeles on Saturday. I put my car keys down and took the metro around LA. Pasadena to Downtown LA to North Hollywood and back.

The buildings in Downtown LA have much character the ornate details are so striking but the sad lack of care for this part of the city makes me think of the builders, architects and dreamers of this city and the unkept promises that have been abandon. 

Cielito Lindo at Olvera Street for a bit of that Mexico feeling. Taquitos with avocado sauce, churro, walking around and seeing the street vendors, performers, bands... Fiesta.

Next, stop was Chinatown, then more of Downtown LA, then took the underground rail to Universal City for City Walk to eat, drink and be merry. It was a lot of walking but never could we take a trip like this in a car.
